Housework

i did a TON of stuff over the weekend. i'm very proud of myself to be able to cross off so many things. i patched and painted the baby's closet, painted the hallway ceiling, painted the bathroom ceiling, painted the trim on the bathroom doorway, touched up the blue paint on the bathroom walls, caulked between the vanity and walls, calked between the shower and the walls, cleaned the toiled, installed new knobs on the baby's dresser, and measured for shelves in the baby's closet. :) i just about made my ankles explode, due to water retention from standing/over activity, but dang it makes a huge difference having those things out of the way.

the baby's room is so close to being done! all we need to do is install shelves and a closet bar, move the dresser in the closet, and maybe buy a rug, and we're done. there are a few baby supplies we are still waiting on, but as far as decorating goes, we're just about there.

we ordered the carseat last week, so hopefully it gets here before...the baby! supposedly it will be here no later than the 7th of July. since my due date is August 6, i think we have plenty of time.

we'll be buying a few other things next weekend but mostly stuff like pacifiers, swaddle blankets, burp clothes, nail trimmers, diaper changing pad cover, and some misc. breastfeeding supplies. which brings me to a whole different subject: breastfeeding and working. i want to try to make it 6 months this time! 2 of those months i will be home, so that shouldn't be a problem, but i'm going to try MY BEST to pump at work. it's going to challenging, from what i've heard, but it's also very doable. the great thing is you can rent a double electric breast pump from the local hospital if you are a full-time mom. all you have to buy are the storage supplies and have a cooler to keep the milk in while your at work.  i just hope it's easier this time with Presley than it was with Trinity. i only lasted 3 months with Trinity because it was so hard. but, i didn't really try very hard to make it work either. i'm going to vow to do my best because i know that is what's best for the baby!
