i'm 34 weeks pregnant. that's right. its been 17 weeks since i blogged last about my prenancy. i failed this one miserably, but at least i'm back.
when we found out the sex of the baby, they also told us that it was possible HE had down syndrome, or possibly something worse, like Trisomy 18. we we're absolutely devastated. the doc recommended an immediate amnio, which i agreed to. he made me feel like it was an emergency situation and i really didn't have any choice. i was in shock until we got into the car. then chris and i cried. we couldn't even be happy that we were having a boy we were so overwhelmed.
three weeks later.
everything is fine. no down syndrome, and no more soft-markers for genetic abnormalities. this boy is "normal".
we have decided on a name: PRESLEY MICHAEL BEEBE
he's due in 6 weeks and we couldn't be more excited.
